A Showdown....

So, one of my good friends is an amazing, singer/songwriter here in Nashville named Kassie (check out her music, here).  Her and her husband, Ben, made it to the finals for the Texaco Showdown, the longest running singing contest in the US.  They competed against thousands of people across the country to make it to the final 5.  I am still amazed all the time by her talents and her attitude!  I learn something new every time I get to spend time with her while she is doing her craft.   

Anyway, I got the chance to style her for the occasion and a few others.  I can't wait to share with you the pictures of these occasions.  Soon I promise!  

For my look of the night, again my trusty peplum blazer was a great choice.  I also wore it here for another styling event.  It has style and is still comfortable while working.  It can sometime get hot back stage at events so my shorts came in handy, though it is still winter so the tights kept me warm when needed.  I wore a sheerer tight to add a little bit of sex appeal to the outfit and to change up the textures.  My messenger-like bag came in handy to keep out of the way, but also keep up with.  I always like to wear heels, but this can be tricky when working.  So, I wore platform booties, they can be comfortable and stylish at the same time.
